Setting Up The Stack.

Before we begin the academic journey, we must ensure your digital laboratory is fully functional. This guarantees a seamless learning experience.

Requirements Checklist

Please ensure that the following tools are downloaded and installed on your workstation before proceeding. If you encounter any issues, please submit a ticket via the Dashboard.

1. Visual Studio Code

The mandatory Integrated Development Environment (IDE) used by all InnoDI instructors.
2. Node.js & npm

JavaScript runtime required for running local development servers. Ensure you install the LTS version.
3. Live Server Extension

Install the Live Server extension within VS Code to test your HTML/CSS configurations locally.

Support Notice

If you are utilizing a corporate firewall, you may need to whitelist domains such as innodi.sounny.com, github.com, and firebase.googleapis.com to ensure the labs function correctly.

Module 2

Connecting GitHub.

Version control is the lifeblood of modern software engineering. Here is how we verify your practical work at InnoDI.

At InnoDI, you will submit your CAPSTONE projects primarily via GitHub Repositories rather than uploading ZIP files to a traditional LMS platform. This prepares you for industry standards.

The Submission Flow

Fork the assignment repository provided in your Dashboard.
Clone it to your local environment linked in Module 1.
Commit your code incrementally with descriptive messages.
Push to your fork and submit the URL in the LMS portal.

Student GitHub Developer Pack

As an InnoDI student, you are eligible for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, which provides premium tier access to services like Copilot, DigitalOcean, and more. Register with your university email address.

Module 3

Community Tools.

Distance learning does not equal isolation. Engage with faculty and fellow innovators directly.

Slack is our synchronous communication hub. Rather than sending emails, which often get lost in the academic shuffle, you will use Slack for real-time clarification, group work, and urgent technical support.
