Notice of Compliance
This handbook outlines the operational, HR, and IT security protocols for non-teaching personnel. It ensures strict adherence to data protection laws and maintains the operational excellence expected of an accredited institution.
1. Data Privacy & CNDP/GDPR Compliance
Staff members process highly sensitive student data securely. The following rules are non-negotiable:
- No Local Storage: Student personal identification, biometric proctoring videos, and academic records must NEVER be downloaded to personal hard drives or local devices.
- Cloud-Native Workflow: All operations must be conducted within the encrypted Google Firebase architecture.
- Need-To-Know Basis: Do not access student records unless directly required to resolve an active support ticket. All access is logged and audited.
2. Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
As the backbone of student success, the administration guarantees rapid resolution to barriers:
- Tier 1 IT Issues: (e.g., login failure, LMS downtime) must be acknowledged within 4 hours and resolved within 24 hours.
- Admissions Inquiries: Must be addressed within 48 hours to maintain a high conversion rate and smooth onboarding experience.
- Grade Disputes/Academic Appeals: Processed and routed to the Department Chair within 3 business days.
3. Remote Work Policies
InnoDI is a remote-first (FOAD) organization. To maintain security and professionalism:
- Secure Access: Staff must utilize institution-approved VPNs if accessing the backend from public Wi-Fi networks.
- Workspace Professionalism: When conducting video calls with students, staff must ensure a quiet environment with a neutral or professional background.
- Availability: Staff are expected to be online and reachable via official channels during their designated shift hours, accommodating international student time zones where applicable.
4. Diversity & Inclusivity (Placemaking)
Integrating Sara Bensalem’s PhD research, InnoDI prioritizes the wellbeing and sustainable engagement of its remote employees:
- Digital Workplace Architecture: We strive to create "meaningful places" online. Staff are encouraged to participate in informal virtual commons to reduce remote isolation.
- No-Meeting Blocks: Staff are granted designated focus hours where synchronous institutional meetings are prohibited to enhance cognitive performance.
